The Government of South Sudan should work hand in hand with the United Nations to fight terrorist and avoid further displacement of its people.

Eastern Equatoria State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Clement Chichim made the call during the celebrations of World Refugee Day in Torit, Radio Emmanuel reported.

The minister mentioned that terrorism in Somalia and Nigeria contributed to massive displacement of civilians within their territories and to neighbouring countries bringing insecurity.

Mr Chichin said South Sudanese should always work towards the promotion of peace to ensure stability in the nation after war and conflict have rocked their lives.

He pointed out that many refugees are forced to separate with their families, lose their property and start a new life of hardship after displacement.

Mr Chichin appreciated the United Nations for the great support they have been offering to the returnees in South Sudan.
