The Commissioner of Yei River County on Sunday called for total prevalence of peace in the county.

Juma David Augustine rang the bells of peace following deadly clashes over a cattle slaughtering disagreement between Dinka and Mundari butchers, Radio Easter reported.

He appealed to all citizens to take collective responsibility in keeping the town and the residential areas clean and green in order to control malaria in the county.

Mr Juma called upon the citizens to cooperate and contribute towards the construction and demarcation of roads to fight insecurity and ease access to social services in the county.

He urged all the people of Yei County to live in peace and work hard towards the county’s positive development.
