The Directorate of Nationality, Passport and Immigration of Western Bahr El Ghazal has started registering and issuing entry visas to foreigners in the state.

The exercise will last for a period of one month in order to allow all the aliens residing in the state acquire the legal travelling and stay documents.

Nationality, Passport and Immigration Director John Madut Malek told Voice of Hope that the directorate is issuing three-month renewable Visas.

He said the state Immigration Office does not issue passports.

The Director called on foreigners who do not have passports to get them from the National directorate in Juba through their embassies.

Mr Madut advised all foreigners to take this exercise seriously to ease their movements in South Sudan.

He said only traders in Wau are registering.

Mr Madut added that they should pass the word to their colleagues in Raja and other localities far away from Wau that they have one month to register.

The registration costs 170 Pounds.
