BAHR EL-GHAZAL UNIVERSITY BREAKS TO MOURN STUDENT’S DEATH

The University of Bahr El Ghazal has declared one-day break for students and staff to mourn yesterday’s sudden death of a first-year student.

Bojo Anthony Christopher from Kajo Keji died in Wau Teaching Hospital of cardiac arrest, Voice of Hope reported.

He was enrolled in the faculty of arts.

Principal Isaiah Ayiel Deng said Bojo’s death was an unfortunate incident inside the university that took everyone by surprise.

He presented his condolences to the grieving family.

Student Augustino Gore said Bojo complained of chest pains during supper.

He added that his colleagues rushed him to Wau Teaching Hospital but the doctor on duty was nowhere to be seen.

Another doctor was unable to save the student.

Mabior Maker, house officer in Wau teaching Hospital, said that the students arrived around five in the evening and confirmed that the doctor on duty was not around.

He explained that he tried to give emergency treatment to the deceased it did not work.

Bojo died of a heart problem called myocardial infection

A huge number of students attended farewell prayers before Bojo’s body was transported to Kajo Keji for burial.

The students contributed 3,200 Pounds towards the funeral and the University administration provided a car to take the body to Kajo Keji.
