The President of the Republic has encouraged foreign companies operating in South Sudan, including commercial banks, to employ young South Sudanese in order to lay strong development foundations for the new country.
Salva Kiir Mayardit made the call this morning while inaugurating a branch of South Africa’s Stanbic Bank in Juba Town.Stanbic Bank African Chief Executive Officer, Chris Mistier, said the financial institution will work to support the Government and people of South Sudan in meeting challenges in agriculture, infrastructure and development of a financial system.
Stanbic Bank officially opened its first branch in Juba today.
President Kiir encouraged the South African bank to extend its services to the ten states of South Sudan.
