Business people operating at Customs market in Juba have contributed food and money for the national army.

Public and business people across the country have been supporting a mobilization campaign to support soldiers in the frontline since unrest unfolded at the border between South Sudan and Sudan in April.

MP Tongun Lodu Rombe told a small crowd at Munuki Payam headquarters that business men and women operating at Customs market offered 60 bags of flour, 20 bags of sugar, seven bags of beans and 1,500 Pounds to the soldiers in the war front.

He said business people from other markets in Juba have earlier contributed food and non food items to the army.

Francis Barson Yuwasa, Central Equatoria information minister and official Government spokesperson, said citizens should develop keen interests to support the national army.

He said they should offer food and non food items they can afford from the bottom of their hearts.

The contribution was handed to the army at the SPLA general headquarters in Bilpam, outside Juba.
