Mr Michael said the culprits will face the full force of law.
Yei River acting Commissioner Kosmas Lokiko urged citizens to remain calm and to continue with their everyday lives.
He added that butcheries are the only shops that are temporally closed until further notice for security reasons.
The market is functioning normally.
Mr Lokiko urged the organized forces to be in full alert to prevent retaliation attacks.
The clashes in Mugwo payam were the result of a disagreement between the Mundari and Dinka butchers who import cattle from Uganda on a rotary system approved by the local authorities.
