A delegation from a Kenyan bank operating in South Sudan visited today the Military Hospital in Juba and gave 200,000 Pounds, nearly 60,000 US Dollars, to be use for any priority experts from the bank and the hospital administration will come out with.
Deputy Chief of General Staff Piang Deng Majok thanked KCB and appreciated the donation.He said the money will be used in the activities that the technical team from the army and the bank will agree on.
KCB-South Sudan manager Musa Ndeto said resources are limited but the bank wants to build a new ward in the Military Hospital that will bear its name.
KCB Bank Group Chairman Peter Muthoka said the 2011annual report indicated that KCB-South Sudan has immensely contributed to the whole group’s profits and to its rating as bank number one in the whole of Central and East Africa.
He added that the money the bank gave today was a return to the community from the profits KCB made since the bank came to South Sudan in 2005.
