Secondary school students in Tonj, Warrap State, are mourning their Kenyan teacher who died in Nairobi on Monday.
Peter Njugu was a Kenyan national teaching at Don Bosco Secondary School since last year.Benjamin Kuoch, who also teaches at Don Bosco, said that late Njugu was an energetic and straight teacher in all his activities both in school and at their quarters.
He added that the late teacher left a very big gap that needs the effort of the school administration and students to fill it by following his footsteps.
Mr Kuoch said Mr Njugu was suffering from tuberculosis, had stomach problem and bad heart.
Assunta Achok Gum, student at the science section, said the death of Mr Njugu is a great loss since he was a teacher of Chemistry and Biology.
Mary Nyanbul Gum added that Mr Njugu has been a great and big gift to students in Tonj South County and his death left them in pain and sorrow.
Mr Njugu, 45, died during an operation on Monday in Kenyatta Hospital in Nairobi-Kenya.
He was married with a number of children.
