Zain inaugurated its services in Budi County of Eastern Equatoria today with a special feast in Chukudum.
Chukudum telephone users on Saturday last week joined the rest of the global village after Zain’s antenna in Budi County was completed, Radio Emmanuel reported.Several people in the area spent the entire night calling their relatives and friends within South Sudan and the world over out of excitement.
Miss Maliaka Hellene Adong, one of Zain’s guests at the inauguration in Chukudum, express happiness over the new development in Budi County saying it made communicating easy.
Miss Malaika said Zain wants to donate books to some schools and mosquito nets to Chukudum Health Centre to commemorate the event.
The new network covers most parts of Budi County including Loriyok town situated along the Torit-Kapoeta highway.
In the past, Chukudum residents had to climb the mountain to be able to use a Ugandan network if they needed to phone.
