Western Bahr El-Ghazal State is conducting a four-day forum on job description preparation for state directors from the different ministries.

The forum will also discuss issues that will assist directors to support government action plans, and ministries structure organization at all levels, Voice of Hope reported.

Addressing the participants during the opening session at State’s Secretariat, finance Minister Morris Yuel Akol reminded directors general that they have to implement the state’s strategic plans prepared by the Government.

Mr Yuel said the huge state’s workforce needs training and proper job descriptions to be able to do their work.

Francis Odiwuor, a facilitator from the Adam Smith Institute, said some ministries in the state are running without job descriptions.

He added that without job description, workers don’t know what they have to do.

The forum is organized by UK-based Adam Smith Institute in collaboration with the state government.
