Southern Sudan Youth Parliament has urged youngsters to run for top leadership places to serve the community.
Buay Keake Turoal is the speaker of Southern Sudan Youth Parliament.He gave today a press conference in Juba urging the Sudanese political elite to respect the will of the people expressed in the April 11 to 13 general elections.
Mr. Keake said young people are capable of providing leadership although elders consider them inexpedient.
He added that experience comes from education rather than age.
Mr. Keake invited the young to help nation building by aspiring for places of leadership provided they respect the will of the community and its unity.
Mr. Keake urged the youth to remain peaceful during the electoral campaign, the elections and the post-elections period.
He asked politicians not to use the youth to stir violence if they are not happy with the elections’ final outcome.
