The SPLM secretariat of Wau County has threatened to dismiss from the party all members that are absent especially those in the Executive and Legislative bodies within the state.
Wau County SPLM Chairperson Anthony Charles Mgberende described the coalitions that are taking place within the party as manipulations over the party manifesto and beyond the authority of the Liberation Council, Voice of Hope reported.At the end of last year, some members of the party from Wau County who were in the former government issued a statement describing the county office as a refreshment room.
Mr Mgberende said the office has proved that it is existes through the new members who joined the party recently.
He lamented that while the ruling party is receiving new members, it is facing such opposition from within.
Mr Mgberende said the party members either report to the County Secretariat within one week or face expulsion.
SPLM Deputy Chairperson in Western Bahr El Ghazal Anthony Joseph Mgbandu said there are no divisions in the party but different opinions.
Mr Mgbandu asked the Governor to bridge between the different groups.
The SPLM won the 2010 elections taking the majority of seats in the State Legislative Assembly as well as the Governor in Western Bahr El Ghazal State.
