Representatives from different Churches this morning marched on the streets of Juba to demonstrate against Khartoum’s aggression towards the people and the Republic of South Sudan.

The procession began from Buluk Playground, passed by the Sudanese, American and European Union embassies and ended at Dr John Garang’s Tomb, Bakhita Radio reported.

Pastor Paul Deng of the African Island Church, told the crowd that gathered at Sudanese Embassy that the Churches in Juba no longer support border negotiations between the two countries.

He urged South Sudan’s government to refer the matters to the International Court of Arbitration, in The Hague, Holland.

Reverend Deng said South Sudan has the right to defend itself from the Sudanese aggression.

The border areas between South Sudan and Sudan have been the scene of clashes between the two armies.

Eighty percent of the border is agreed upon while five areas rich in oil, minerals, water and grazing are disputed by both governments.
