In his homily he highlighted the need for the faithful to respect the church, adding that they should always be aware that they are in need of healing by the strength of the risen Lord.He invited the Catholic faithful in Panbarkou to make good use of the new church, explaining that the holy place is an instrument that helps Christians to grow in the love of God and people gather in it to receive Jesus’ strength, love and salvation.
Fr Colombo noted that the church plays a very critical role in helping people to grow in faith as a community, pointing out that the Word of God reminds Christians of their importance as temples of the Lord.
He told the congregation that Jesus Christ proclaimed himself as the new temple in which people adore God the Father and Christians are living stones for building the church, in which God the Father is glorified.
