The Catholic Bishop of Yei this morning called for unity and cooperation among the people of the diocese as they continue to mourn Monsignor Peter Dada Ale.

Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe said Fr Dada’s death should not be a reason for separating people, Radio Easter reported.

He added that the real foundation of the Church is Jesus who is among the people.

Bishop Lodu said unity is strength.

He added that being one by one, believers cannot even live the Christian life: to witness alone is difficult and impossible.

The bishop called the people to witness and work together as community.

Bishop Lodu asked Fr Dada to help the people to work together building the community rather than destroying each other with words that cannot help communion.

He urged the Christians to pray to one another.

Bishop Lodu made these statements today during his homily at the burial mass of Monsignor Peter Dada at Christ the King Cathedral in Yei.
