Renk county SPLM secretariat launched its campaign with a political picnic in Ghegar payam, Upper Nile State.
Last week the SPLM secretariat trained about 120 members on elections topics, SCR News correspondent reported.The same members were yesterday taken to Ghegar payam in the north of the county bordering White Nile state for a political picnic to bring political awareness among party supporters.
The occasion was attended by SPLM students, Youth and women Leagues in the county, including Ghegar’s Payam administrator.
There was a big turnout of the SPLM supporters who were entertained by local musicians.
The supporters were enlightened of their right to vote and to choose their leaders wisely.
The Payam administrator, who is a SPLM member, told citizens to elect Yasir Arman as president of the Republic to make the vision of new Sudan a possible ideology.
He also asked for the election of Salva Kiir, the incumbent GoSS president, to make the CPA implementation run smoothly.
Renk is said to be one of the SPLM strongholds in Upper Nile state.
