Gidel, in Nuba Mountains, has now a transport office to offer transport facilities to people who want to travel to the refugee camps in Yida and other parts of South Sudan.
Isaam Y. heads the office. He explained that due to the war and lack of transport, people from Gidel used to go to Kauda to look for transportation services to Yida.He said the transport office in Gidel is for all the people, be civilians or NGOs.
Mr Isaam urged the people of Gidel and in the whole region to take their luggage to the transport office whenever they want to travel anywhere.
Public transports are quite difficult from Nuba Mountains to Yida and other parts of South Sudan due to the war.
The local government authorities opened Gidel transport office to ease travels at a reduced price.
