The Governor of Western Equatoria has donated 10,000 pounds to a fund set by the state to support the army and the people at the warfront.
Speaker Gbukulu Edward of Western Equatoria Legislative Assembly told Anisa FM that the state wants to show its support to the Government of the Republic and condemn the unacceptable aggression of Sudan against South Sudan.Governor Bangasi Joseph Bakosoro and the state government came up with the idea to send a team from Western Equatoria State to Bentiu, Unity State, as soon as possible to show their solidarity and encourage the brothers and sisters who are suffering at the border.
The speaker said two MPs from Mundiri and Ezo and the State paramount chief Wilson Peni Rikito Gbudue are among the delegation to be sent to Bentiu.
Governor Bakosoro donated 10,000 pounds in addition to foodstuff the team is taking to Bentiu.
Chief Wilson Peni urged the Arrow Boys, a group of citizens who defend the state from Ugandan rebels’ attacks, to be on the alert to defend the country.
Speaker Gbukulu urged the youth of Western Equatoria State to be ready for mobilization to defend the territory.
