THIEF CLEANS TONJ MOBILE PHONES SHOP

A thief yesterday night broke into a mobile phone shop in Tonj Market stealing hundreds of different types of handsets.

Ibrahim Ahmed Al Margeni, who owns the shop, explained to Don Bosco FM that the thief used a zinc cutter to cut the roof and enter into the shop.

He said the thief took the bulk of phones from a cupboard.

Mr Ahmed added that the thief must be an expert.

He urged fellow traders to be cautious in keeping their goods.

Mr Ahmed asked the police to deploy patrols at night to protect traders and their properties.

He urged the police to look for the culprit or culprits and bring them before the law.

Deputy inspector of Police Deng Wol said organized forces such will be deployed to search for the stolen mobile telephones.

He added that night patrols will ensure safety to traders and their goods and maintain security in Tonj.
