ROBBERS FAIL KCB-TORIT BREAK-IN

Unknown robbers entered the Kenyan Commercial Bank branch in Torit, on Monday evening but were confronted by security operatives and got away empty-handed.

An eyewitness told Radio Emmanuel that the robbery attempt that took place at 5:30 PM looked like a thriller movie.

The robbers jumped through the windows and held bank officials hostage.

The eyewitness added that the robbers beat up and tied the bank manager and two other officials.

However, one security officer managed to escape and raised the alarm.

Detective chief Tony Cossa Lual confirmed the robbery attempt while talking to the press at the Bank premises.

He declined to give details.

Mr Cossa said the robbers did not take anything from the Bank.

No suspect has been arrested in connection with the failed robbery attempt.
