The Government spokesperson said this evening that the Sudan Air Force today bombed Abeimnhom town, West of Mayom County in Unity state, injuring four civilians including one child.
Barnaba Marial Benjamin told journalists that the attack was targeting a strategic bridge in Abeimnhom, near Mayom.He said two brigades of Sudan Armed Forces supported by 16 tanks and backed by Mujahedeen and militias loyal to Khartoum were marching towards Unity State intending to capture and occupy its oil fields.
Dr Marial added that the government condemned the bombardment of civilians.
It called Sudan to immediately withdraw its forces from South Sudanese territory.
