EASTERN EQUATORIA CABINET, COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TAKE OATH

Fourteen ministers appointed to the new cabinet of Eastern Equatoria State and seven county commissioners yesterday took the oath of office to serve in the transitional government of the state.

The new cabinet includes Clement Chichim Laku as minister of cabinet and parliamentary affairs, Felix Otuduha Siro, minister for information and telecommunications and Claudio Suleiman Liling, minister of public administration and internal affairs, Radio Emmanuel reported.

Sam Felix Makuja shifts from health to finance and economic planning while Josephine Akulang Abalang left finance for public service, labour and human resource development.

Mark Akio Ukinbul went from housing and public utility to agriculture, forestry irrigation, cooperatives and community development.

Michael Lopuke Lotyam remains as the minister for education and Margaret Itto, former Director General at the National Ministry of Health, comes in as a new face in the cabinet as the state minister for health.

Former minister of humanitarian affairs and disaster preparedness Benaiah Benjamin Kitara is now the minister for housing and public utilities.

Charles Lokonoi, the chairperson of specialized committee of legal affairs in the state Assembly, joined the cabinet as minister for transport and roads.

Hassan Urbano, the third new entrant, is the minister of animal resources and fisheries.

George Echom Ekeno who has served the state cabinet at various ministries retains his former position as the minister of environment, wildlife conservation and tourism.

Patrick Lodinga Koteen leftf culture, social development youth and sports to come back to his old ministry and Jerome Gama Surur, changed from agriculture to commerce, investment, industries and mining.
