MINISTRY OF EDUCATION RECEIVES NEW SCHOOL BLOCK WITH CRACKS

Eastern Equatoria ministry of education received four classrooms and an office block today from an Italian organization called AVSI, but cracks litter several parts of the new building.

Radio Emmanuel witnessed the cracks during inspection of the new block that is to house Torit Model Primary School.

AVSI field engineer Lokok Kizito Lawrence said the cracks were minor.

He said the cracks are normal and the building can be reinforced.

Mr Kizito said the cracks will be mended to strengthen the walls.

AVSI constructed pit latrines at St Theresa Primary and Torit West Primary school that were handed over to the state ministry of Education, today.

The projects were paid with Italian government funds the projects under Italian Development Cooperation, through UNHCR.

AVSI reprehensive in South Sudan, Anna Orlandini, and the Director of Development Cooperation Office of Ethiopia and South Sudan, Fabio Melloni, witnessed the handover of the infrastructures.
