The Government of Warrap State has declared three days in the week for clearing and cultivating farms.
Tonj South County Commissioner Akec Tong Aleu said Governess Nyandeng Malek declared Friday, Saturday and Sunday farming and home affairs days to eradicate hunger and famine out of the state, Don Bosco FM reported.He added that the county provided some plough tools to be distributed to farmers who have already cleared their fields.
Mr Tong urged residents to take hoes and cultivate their fields instead of looking for office work to get income.
He told dominoes players and idlers to go for manual work to eradicate hunger in the state.
