Four people died yesterday in Amdual area of Nuba Mountains during heavy clashes between government forces and SPLA-North rebels.
Ismail Dafallh, a SPLA-North commander, said three people died in the ground assault and the fourth was killed by an airstrike.He added that the SPLA-North launched an attack to Amdual at about 7:00 in the morning.
Mr Dafallh was injured in the airstrike.
Another five people were injured in the course of the fighting with the government forces.
The SPLA-North claims to be in control of the two villages in Amdual pushing government troops deep into Talodi.
