SOUTH SUDAN, ANGOLA IN COOPERATION TALKS

South Sudan and Angola on Wednesday signed in Luanda a verbal process with future lines of cooperation between both countries.

The agreement was signed by the Angolan minister of Foreign Affairs, George Rebelo Pinto Chikoti and Deng Alor Kuol, minister of Cabinet Affairs in South Sudan, ANGOP, the Angolan state news agency, reported.

The Angolan minister said that the verbal agreement shows the will that exists between the governments of South Sudan and Angola to continue to cooperate.

He stressed that the verbal process contains information that will guide the two governments to a general cooperation agreement as well as other protocols.

Minister Alor expressed his satisfaction for being in Angola and signing the agreement that will set the course of relations between the two countries.

South Sudan is seeking cooperation with Angola the areas of defense and security together with mining, finance, and sports.

Angola, a former Portuguese colony in West Africa, is the biggest African producer of oil.
