SPLM CANDIDATE SAYS CONTESTING ELECTIONS TO PREACH REFERENDUM

A SPLM candidate for southern Sudan Assembly said that his main objective to run in the April elections is to preach for independent southern Sudan.

GoSS Caretaker Minister for Cabinet Affairs Luka Tombe Kana Monoja told the attendance at a campaign rally that southerners have had enough of suffering and need no more of it.

Dr. Monoja said he is contesting for a seat in Southern Sudan Legislative Assembly in order to preach independence for southern Sudan because northerners do not make unity attractive.

Dr. Monoja said southerners are able to rule, defend and work adequately.

He added that he aims also at strengthening health and education in the region.

Dr. Monoja urged citizens of southern Sudan to unite for a better future.
