A delegation from the ruling party in South Africa arrived in Juba today to see what progress has been made after eight months of independence.
African National Congress (ANC) National Chairperson Baleka Mbete said it was a great feeling to be back to South Sudan after it was declared independent eight months ago.She said the ANC visit was very important to meet with the leaders and get informed about the progress being made, new developments and the challenges South Sudan faces.
Ms Mbete added that the visit will make the ANC and the people of South Africa to see how they can assist the new country.
She described the peoples of South Sudan and South Africa as old friends or relatives, and her country will continue to celebrate the first year of the new nation’s independence.
