Richard Wani Clement is the coordinator of Juba Cheshire Service. He told SCR News that disabled children need to be treated equally with non disabled in their respective schools.
Mr. Wani said inclusive education is important to stop discrimination and isolation of disabled children in the schools.
Mr. Wani revealed that his organization is working with the Central Equatoria Ministry of Education to ensure that schools are friendly and accessible for all children.
He added that lack of ramps and other barriers make parents think twice before they send their disable children to school.
Mr. Wani said Juba Cheshire Service is working hard to minimize the prejudice that the community has about the disabled people.
