A celebrated US actor and activist has posted in the internet a video shot during a dangerous visit he paid to the war thorn area of Nuba Mountains in the Sudan.
George Clooney’s four-minute video shows the fear in which Nuba Mountains civilians live under constant bombardments with Sudan Armed Forces’s planes and Chinese missiles.The footage shows a child who lost both hands during an airstrike, another child who had a bullet removed from his body and a woman with burns from Sudanese flash flame bombs.
Mr Clooney used the images in his testimony before the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee to accuse Sudan of committing war crimes in Nuba Mountains.
He said Nuba Mountains can be a new Darfur if the international community does not act.
He called for more sanctions against Sudan.
