Eastern Equatoria programme manager for Expanded Programme for Immunization (EPI), Dr. Goldiano Okwahi, told Radio Emmanuel that the next anti-polio vaccination exercise will be held on March 27 to 29 to cover the entire eight counties of the state.
Dr. Okwahi says that over 267 thousand children under five were vaccinated in the last exercise.
He noted that this is a partial total because the results from six payams are still missing.
The EPI Programme Manager listed other challenges, including rain, transport, delayed sensitization, missing children and the others who rejected need to be covered in the upcoming campaign.
Dr. Okwahi said the first round of the anti-polio campaign carried from February 7 to 9 followed a record of six cases reported in Eastern Equatoria state last year.
He said the vaccination campaign will goon till polio is rooted out of the country.
