ACHOLI, MA’DI LEADERS COMMIT TO PEACE CONFERENCE

Community leaders from the Acholi and Ma’di communities of Magwi County in Eastern Equatoria state have recommitted themselves to hold peace conference to end the inter-tribal conflict in the area.

Leaders from the two communities agreed on Saturday to reschedule to March 26 to 30 the peace conference that failed to take place on February 16 to 19, Radio Emmanuel reported.

Inter-Church Committee acting chairperson, Fr. Kamilo Afore, commended the Acholi and Ma’di community leaders for taking the decision to reschedule the peace conference aimed at resolving conflict among the people through peaceful means.
