Pastoral work is going on well in the Catholic Diocese of Yei despite the enormous challenges the Church is cycling through.`
Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe of Yei said the diocese and the priests are doing their best to meet the needs of the Catholic community through great difficulties, Radio Easter reported.He added that after talking about successes, failures and needs of the diocese, the Church personnel have to move forward with their activities to serve the faithful the best way they can.
Bishop Lodu said priests and the diocesan staff live on very little funds and some programs still remain unfinished due to lack of money.
He appealed to the faithful to support their priests.
Bishop Lodu made these remarks while presenting his report yesterday to the Annual diocesan assembly.
