Almost 30 Catholics from the dioceses across the Sudan ended today a week-long training on peace building and conflict resolution with the view of starting or strengthening diocesan Justice and Peace commissions.
CATHOLICS RECEIVE TRANING IN PEACE BUILDING AND CONFLICTS RESOLUTION
Mr. Luc Picard, an official working for Catholic Relief Services (CRS) as Church Partner Development Advisor, explained to SCR News that the first part of the training was organized by CSR while the second phase will be done by each diocese.
Mr. Picard explained the training gave the participants the skills to analyze conflicts within the community.
He added that the training also helped the participants to involve community leaders to resolve problems amicably without resorting to violence.
The 29 participants received their diplomas at the end of the training and tomorrow they will leave for their places of origin.
