The Malakal land committee has visited the city’s outskirts to plan demarcation works.

Chairman of Land Demarcation Committee Pal Nyok Jany said the team will solve problems caused by unlawful land occupation not demarcated by land authorities, Radio Voice of Love reported.

He said it is common that two or more people quarrel over ownership of land plots.

Mr Nyok added that the Land Committee is empowered to solve those kinds of problems.

He revealed that the committee has already solved a number of problems at Tenmiah residential area which was occupied without proper demarcation.

Mr Nyok said people whose homes were destroyed to build roads will get new plots in different places.

Chukwan Philip, the acting Director for Demarcation in Upper Nile, advised citizens to be flexible.

He pointed out that it was in the interest of Government to demarcate all the residential areas to allow easy service delivery.
