Tonj South County, in Warrap state, received 93 cattle out of 212 that were raided three months ago by Gok residents from Cueibet County in Lakes State.

A group of young men was sent with soldiers to follow the looted cattle and spent two months in Cueibet looking for their cattle, Radio Don Bosco reported.

Today, Tonj South County headquarters received the document of the recovered cattle from Cueibet.

Tonj South County Executive Director Augustine Akoch Agoth said the rescue group faced several threats from the raiders and residents but collected some cattle with the help of the Cueibet County Commissioner.

Mr Akoch praised the efforts put by the Cueibet County Commissioner to collect the stolen cattle from civilians and send them to their owners.

The looted cows belonged to three from different counties of Greater Tonj.
