The National Legislative Assembly is organizing a two-day public hearing on the Political Parties Bill 2012.
The event, organized by the National Assembly Committee for Legislation and Justice, takes place at Home and Away Thursday and Friday.The Political Parties Bill establishes the Political Parties Affairs Council and sets forth the provisions governing political party registration and regulation.
Dengtiel Ayuen Kur, who chairs the organizing committee, said in a statement that the committee wishes to garner information and contributions to the bill from all stakeholders participating in the democratic processes of South Sudan.
