SPLM-DC TO PRIORITIZE PEACE AND ECONOMIC REFORM

The leader of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement for Democratic Change (SPLM-DC) has said that his party will prioritize the full implementation of the CPA and create a positive change towards the economy in Southern Sudan.

Dr Lam Akol told SCR News that his major priority will be to improve the region by ensuring peace dividends to the people of south Sudan.
He added he wants to control government expenditure and revitalize agriculture among other economic reforms.
Dr. Akol said he believes that his party will win the coming elections.
He mentioned that the south is ripe for change and called on all southerners to unite to achieve the right of self-determination.
Dr. Akol is president Kiir’s only contender in the race for president of the Government of Southern Sudan.
