The youths of South Sudan have been challenged to dedicate their time to nation building instead of wasting it in sterile activities.
Laat Makuek Manyiel, a youth from Lakes State, told Good News Radio that the responsibility of developing the new nation is in the hands of young people. He expressed concern that some youths spend too much of their time idling or playing dominos and cards.
Mr Makuek said that according to the Bible an idle mind is the devil’s workshop.
He pointed out that an idle young person has high chances of engaging in dangerous activities.
Another youth from Lakes State, Samuel Dictor Mathiang, underscored the importance of education in nation building.
He called on the youths to use the knowledge they have acquired to transform the society.
Mr Dictor urged his pears to embrace true civilization and avoid acts of violence.
He said cattle rustling was not good and encouraged the youths in cattle camps to stay away from the malpractice.
