The residents of Kalkada at Heiban South County in Nuba Mountains evacuated the area on Monday evening for fear of an attack by Arab pastoralists.
A local source said the residents evacuated the area as insecurity was increasing and having heard that armed pastoralists were on the way to Tajura and Kalkada.Kalkada Model Primary School was closed as teachers and teachers were evacuated.
Up to now the situation in Kalkada and Tajura remains volatile.
