The national ministry of youths and sports, in collaboration with the state ministries of education in Greater Bahr el-Ghazal, has organized a course for teachers in different sports in Aweil.
Deputy Director of students’ activity in Western Bahr el Ghazal ministry of education, Anes Haroon Mohamad, told Radio Voice of Hope that the training is being implemented by the administration of youth activities in the national ministry of education.Several teachers from each state of Greater Bahr el-Ghazal are participating in the training.
Kenyan and Ugandan experts are facilitating the course, which covers different disciplines, including football, volleyball and basketball.
Mr Haroon said the trained teachers will be issued certificates from FIFA, the International Federation of Football Associations.
He explained that the teachers will train students, especially during the tournament season, to be organized for primary and secondary schools.
This is the second training carried out in the country after a similar activity was done in Greater Equatoria.
The ten-day training started on Monday and concludes next week.
