South Sudan Moslems met today in Juba to form the council of South Sudan Moslems.

The region initially had two different organizations, South Sudan Islamic council in Khartoum and new Sudan Islamic council in Juba.

Addressing journalists, Sheikh Ally Ngor said the two groups will be joined to become one and tackle southern Sudanese Moslem affairs.

In March the Islamic Council will host a conference for Southern Sudan Moslems to deal with issues like pilgrims, aid to the needy and Moslem women in the region.
