SECURITY OPERATIVES ARREST NAPWOJORE BOMA CHIEF FOR INCITING VIOLENCE

The boma chief of Napwojore in Ikotos county, Eastern Equatoria has been by security personnel on suspicion of inciting violence.

The arrest of chief Lokwamajore Michael follows recent intertribal clashes between Logir and Dongotono communities last week, Radio Emmanuel reported.

Mr. Lokwamajore was arrested after an investigation carried out by the security operatives implicated him of mobilizing the Logir community to attack the Dongotono during food distribution.

Four people died in the clash.

Lotul Jacob said the food was requested by Ibwai Anthony, the chief of Lodurumo boma for the Dongotono Community.

Mr. Lotul accuses the chief Lokwamajore for mobilizing his people to launch an attack against the food relief beneficiaries.

Mr. Ibwai, the boma chief of Lodurumo, said the food he requested was for the Dongotono people because Logir community received their share last year.

Eyewitness said over 150 SPLA soldiers are deployed in the area following the intertribal conflict between the two communities.

The soldiers were deployed in the area to avert any violence and bring peace among the people.
