A Member of Lakes State Legislative Assembly has expressed concern over the rate at which people in South Sudan are migratong to urban centres at the expense of food production.

David Kockedhie Puondak told Good News Radio that the country has sufficient rainfall but it is being wasted because people are not cultivating and leave for urban areas instead.

He said citizens should not expect everything from the Government but to do their part.

Mr. Kockedhie made these statements while attending a public dialogue involving MPs and citizens aimed at promoting good governance and democracy through constituency dialogue.

SUNDE, the Sudanese Network for Democratic Elections, organized the dialogue.
