SOUTH SUDAN TO HOST INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS SUMMIT

South Sudan will host an international business summit in March of next year to encourage businesspeople to invest in the development of the new nation.

Undersecretary of Investment in the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Investment Simon Nyang Anei told CRN News that the summit titled “Countrywide Investment Summit” will take place on March 20 to 22, 2012, in Juba.

Mr. Nyang said the priority areas for investment include agriculture, mining and energy.

He added that the country is secure and infrastructure is improving to encourage foreigners to invest in South Sudan.

Mr. Nyang said the government provides incentives for investors including land, licenses, entry and work permits, duty exemptions and tax deductions.
