UNDP, the United Nations Development Programme, is handing over 50 police posts outside Torit to the Eastern Equatoria state government.
Notable among the police posts are Hakuma Fi, formerly Hakuma Mafi, a point of road attacks, and Morulem, an area known for cattle raids and conflict, Radio Emmanuel reported.The two police posts were symbolically handed over to Eastern Equatoria government yesterday and today.
The establishment of a police post at Hakuma Mafi has made the community feel safer.
