A Group of hip hop singers from New York is expected to conduct a musical show on December 14 in Wau Stadium.
The concert will follow a workshop on basic elements of hip hop music.Phaedra Gwyn, US embassy public affairs officer in Juba, told Voice of Hope yesterday that the group is called Legacy and has played all over the world.
It will help the youth to build up their career in music.
Ms. Gwyn said the initiative of bringing the band to South Sudan is to help the youth become better leaders in the future by abstaining from conflict and violence.
She added that most young people in South Sudan are talented musicians but lack mentorship.
The initiative is organized in partnership with the state ministry of social development, to engage the youth so that they can be good leaders in the future.
The concert will be free. The same initiative will also be carried out in Juba.
