The mixed fuel crisis that caused tensions and damaged engines in Lainya County of Central Equatoria has been amicably sorted out.

Lainya County press secretary Bullen Lugala told Radio Easter over the telephone this morning that Ayuen Johnsan, the director of the fuel company that sold petrol mixed with diesel, compensated the owners for the expenses they incurred to repair their motorcycles, generators and cars.

Mr. Lugala said the station manager Tom Zachariah did not clean the fuel tank which was containing diesel and made the petrol unsuitable.

He added that Mr. Ayuen appealed to the business sector to remain calm as efforts were underway to buy new fuel tanks for Lainya gas station.

Mr. Lugala said Mr Ayuen paid over 8,800 pounds to compensate the affected people.
