The genuine voice of the people is the voice of God, the Catholic Archbishop of Juba stated in his Pastoral letter for the upcoming elections released yesterday.
Archbishop Paolino Lukudo Loro invited people to a sincere renewal and encouraged them to pray seriously for the upcoming political events, Bakhita Radio reported.Archbishop Lukudu stated that Lent is the time for priests, leaders, children, men and women to ask God’s mercy and forgiveness.
Archbishop Lukudu wrote on the critical elections campaign period.
He said the campaign should be taken and lived in the atmosphere proper of Lent.
Archbishop Lukudu stated that the elections campaign is a time for candidates to interact with people at the grassroots.
He said people will have the opportunity to assess the suitability of the candidates and scrutinize the programs of the various parties.
The Catholic Archbishop of Juba exhorted voters to be serious.
He said elections are not a joke adding that elections are about voting for the person God wants as leader for the people.
Archbishop Lukudu condemned as immoral the use of campaign period to manipulate, deceive, misguide and confuses voters.
